Thin clear, flexible polystyrene plastic sheets that can be coloured with markers or pencils, cut into shapes & then heated in a conventional oven to 160 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes or until flat. The design shrinks, colours intensify, it becomes thicker & more rigid while retaining the design. A heat gun on low also works but protect your work surface with a silicon mat. Waxy or oily substances are not suitable as they melt or burn in high heat.
As a general rule, decide the finished size, then multiply the length & width by 2.25 to find the artwork starting size. The shrinkage is approximate so allow for variations.
