In the mid 1900's this paper was produced by Cartiere Magnani Mill for the Italian painter Pietro Annigoni. This paper is still made exactly the same way on the original machine. It is a beige toned, 100% cotton. It has a soft feel with a surface that has just enough texture to take graphite, pastel, charcoal & light wet media. Looking closely at the surface you will see very faint dark fibres which are not imperfections but inclusions that Annigoni wanted in the paper. It is a truly unique paper.
