Sennelier - Oil Paint Sticks
Sennelier is a French brand renown for its hand selected pigments. Gustav Sennelier opened his Art store in 1887 near the famous Ecole Des Beaux-Arts. He produced paints by using local pigments & binders. Henri, Gustav's son created the first professional quality oil pastel for Picasso, who wanted colours he could use on any surface without any special preparation. In those times artists generally made their own paints from pigment powders mixed with binders. Cezanne, Gauguin and Van Gogh are also known to have used Sennelier oil paints.
Oil Sticks offer the same advantages as oil paints and are handled like a pen. The drying process for the surface film is quick, usually taking a day. Oil sticks can be applied to all traditional surfaces.
Sennelier Oil Sticks can be purchased singly.
